The Bible tells us it is our responsibility to share the Gospel with everyone, both near and far. The hard work and dedication of the missionaries we support and others around the state, country and the world are doing just that, spreading the Gospel of Jesus Christ.   As a believer in Jesus Christ,  we are His hands and feet.

Here are the Missions/Missionaries that Westside Christian Church supports:

WEST AFRICA

Gebhard Picture

The Gebhard Family is ministering to unreached people in West Africa with the partnership of Westside Christian Church and Pioneer Bible Translators.   They live among the Lele people in Guinea.  Living among the people has given them the ability to dive deeper into learning the Lele language and taking the steps into creating literacy materials and Bible scripture portions.  In 2009, they were able to publish 2000 copies of the newly revised Lele hymn book.  In doing this, it gave them more direction to continue the difficult process of Bible translation.  They have published an ABC book and baby health book in the Lele language.  In 2010, they made a goal to finish the Book of Jonah by the end of 2011.

ARIZONA RESERVATION MINISTRIES

AZ Reservation picture

Arizona Reservation Ministries exists to provide God’s ARMs around the Reservation. Currently serving on the San Carlos Apache Reservation in ways only God could orchestrate, those “arms” are providing a hug for children, shooting basketballs with youth, building homes, distributing clothing and food to impoverished families and sharing God’s hope through the Gospel with all ages. Established upon the principal found in Exodus 17 where God’s people need the assistance of others, ARM has chosen the servant position of Aaron, holding up the needs of our Apache brothers and sisters as the Lord leads. Those who partner with them—financially, prayerfully, or physically, are likewise upholding those in God’s family who live in tremendous poverty (“Hur”).  That leaves the “Moses” position:  Native Christians are more than capable of representing Christ on their Reservation.  With their limited funds, etc., we are simply called to “hold up their ARMs.”
