YOUTH MINISTRY

(Ages 12-18)

Westside Christian Youth is all about building a solid Biblical foundation to build their life on the Rock of Jesus. We believe strongly in building up the next generation of leaders in the church.  We understand there are so many different influences with movies, music and peers.  Our goal is to come along side parents, to assist them in navigating our Youth to stay on the right track. Teens are looking for acceptance, purpose, and a sense of belonging so we feel it is important to give them what they are looking for in a safe, fun, positive environment while learning about Jesus and the ultimate sacrifice He made for us all.

      YOUTH SERVICE – SUNDAYS AT 10:30am - Fellowship Hall

      YOUTH ON WEDNESDAYS – Every Wednesday at 5:30PM

to have snacks (Pizza, yum), play ping-pong and foosball and hang out.  At 6:30pm they will hear a biblically based message from Pastor Charles Nixon.  These messages are designed with your youth in mind. They will have times of participation of asking and answering questions as well.

We strive to provide an environment to encourage long lasting friendships, understanding the necessity of having other friends that share their beliefs.

 

Our Youth Pastor, Charles Nixon and his wife, Jamie also communicate with the youth via texting and facebook.  We feel it is important to continue to keep encouraging them in the Lord through the technology the youth use today.  You can “like” and become friends on our facebook page for Westside Christian Youth.           FUSION FRIDAY’s

(Fusion….the merging of different elements into a union)

 

NEXT FUSION FRIDAY….FEBRUARY 10TH AT 6pm..WATCHING “SAVING GOD”.  BRING A FRIEND, SEE YOU THERE!

The Youth will come together for a time of fun, food, movies and fellowship during Fusion Fridays one time per month.  The dates are also posted on their monthly bulletins and under the Events tab.

The youth really seem to be enjoying this time set aside for only them.  The focus is on coming together and have fun playing games, supporting each other and making long lasting friendships.  We invite you to these fun events!
